Introduction to Reporting
JetTime offers a versatile reporting feature that enables you to analyze your tracked data efficiently. Whether you are evaluating team performance, monitoring project costs, or analyzing custom metrics, JetTime reports are designed to give you complete control and customization.
How JetTime Reports Are Built
JetTime reports are built entirely based on work logs, which inherit all relevant fields from parent entities (such as Jira issues, projects, etc.). Therefore, if there are no work logs recorded, the report will be empty.
Additionally, the person generating the report must have the necessary permissions to access all relevant work logs. Missing permissions may result in incomplete reports or no data being displayed. For more details on managing permissions, refer to the Managing App Permissions article.
Report View Modes
JetTime supports two report view modes:
- Table View: Perfect for displaying detailed data with many columns, making it ideal for comprehensive analyses.
- Timesheet View: Not just for time tracking, Timesheet View can also display financial data (financial timesheets) or custom metric timesheets, tailored to your specific needs.
Timezone Handling
JetTime automatically adjusts all report dates and times depending on your browser’s timezone. The selected report date range uses the timezone set in your browser, and all work log date and time entries are consistently converted to your local browser timezone for accuracy and a seamless reporting experience.
Customize Your Reports
JetTime reports provide powerful customization options, allowing you to:
- Filter data to focus on what matters most.
- Customize time formats for better readability (e.g., human-readable formats, minute-based formats, or man-days, etc).
- Adjust columns, metrics, and grouping options to suit your reporting requirements.
- Save reports for future use, which are accessible only to you for maintaining privacy and control.
Before generating a report, you must set a date range for work log import. The selected date range determines which data will be fetched and displayed in the report.
Export and Share Insights
JetTime also allows you to easily export your reports in various formats, including PDF, Excel, and CSV, enabling you to share valuable insights with others or use them in external tools.
